Online psychologist in Islington — a calm, everyday scene

We are HCPC-registered clinical psychologists offering online therapy to adults in Islington and the surrounding areas of north London. Sessions run by secure video, so you can talk to a psychologist from home, from work, or wherever suits you.

Who we are

Every psychologist in our team is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, the regulator for clinical psychologists in the UK. That means a doctoral-level training in assessment and evidence-based treatment, and a professional body that holds us to a published set of standards. We work with adults only, and we do not offer child or adolescent services.

What we help with

Our psychologists work with a broad range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, health anxiety, stress and burnout, and PTSD and other trauma, as well as perinatal mental health. Every plan of treatment starts with an assessment, so the approach fits the person rather than the label. You can read more about the difficulties we work with on our expertise pages.

We draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion-focused therapy, schema therapy and trauma-focused CBT. Where a therapy is NICE-recommended for a particular difficulty, that is usually where we start, though your psychologist will talk through the options with you. The full list is on our therapies pages.

How it works

Getting started is straightforward. You answer a short set of questions about what is bringing you here and how things are for you at the moment, and our clinical team reviews your answers and matches you with a psychologist. From there, sessions follow a familiar pattern: assessment, a shared understanding of what is going on, an agreed plan, and regular review. You can read the full detail on how we work.

A typical session is 50 minutes by secure video. You do not need any special equipment beyond a private space and a stable internet connection, and you will be sent a link before each appointment. Between sessions, your psychologist may suggest something practical to try, though the pace and content of the work is always agreed with you rather than set in advance.

Islington and north London

Islington’s N1 postcodes take in Upper Street, Angel, Highbury, Canonbury and Barnsbury, with the Victoria and Northern lines running through the area. That makes it straightforward to fit a session around a working day, whether you join a video call on a lunch break near Upper Street or from home before or after a commute. We work with adults across this area and the wider borough, and we are building local pages as we go, starting with online therapy in Islington.

Online sessions remove the need to travel at all, which matters if your working day is already built around a Victoria or Northern line commute. Instead of factoring in travel either side of an appointment, you join from wherever you already are.

Online now, in person later

We are an online-first practice. That is a deliberate choice while we build the clinical team and confirm premises in Islington. If in-person sessions matter to you, we would rather tell you plainly where things stand than imply availability we cannot yet offer.

This site, and the way we work, will grow with the practice. We would rather launch with a small, well-supported online service than promise more than we can deliver from day one, and we will update every page here as that changes.

Ready to talk to someone?

If you think we might be able to help, the next step is to answer a few short questions so our clinical team can understand what you need. There is no obligation, and you can stop at any point.
