Cookie policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This page explains how Thriving Minds Collective Ltd, trading as The Islington Psychologist, uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Read it alongside our privacy policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file saved to your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between visits or during a single visit, such as your preferences or how you have interacted with the site.
The cookies we use
Cookies the site needs to work
A small amount of essential storage remembers whether you have accepted or declined optional cookies, so you are not asked again on every page. This cannot be switched off, because without it the site cannot function correctly.
Cookies we only set with your consent
If you agree via our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors move through the site, such as which pages are viewed and for how long. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which shows us anonymised patterns of how the site is used, such as where people click or scroll. Neither tool identifies you by name, and both are configured to anonymise data where the provider allows this.
Cookies used for security
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our get-started form to check that a real person, rather than automated software, is submitting it. This sets a short-lived token rather than tracking you across the web.
Managing your cookie choices
You can accept or decline optional cookies when the banner first appears, and change your mind later by clearing your browser’s stored data for this site and revisiting. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their own settings; doing so may affect how some parts of the site work. If you want to stop Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser add-on for this.
Cookies set by other services
Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare set the analytics and security cookies described above under their own privacy terms, which we do not control. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not allow any cookie on this site to track you across other websites.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the cookies we use change, or if the law around them changes.
